You can open 3 different types of accounts on the platform:
- Real shares account - an investment account where you become a co-owner of shares with purchasing power equal to your deposit.
- Margin account - this is not a cash account, but a margin account. It gives you the option of triple the purchasing power of your invested funds, but you are still buying physical shares just as you would with a cash Real Shares account.
- CFD account - CFD called contract for differece or contract for difference, allows you to trade contracts for difference, where you speculate on changes in asset prices without owning them. You are trading more complex and riskier instruments, so the account is suitable for advanced investors due to the higher risk involved.
